Private private oh so private ... or not

Don't know if you noticed, but this entry is about my private life ... ok, seems like at the moment I don't have much, because holyshit school is stressful, but there were quite a few really nice things happening a few weeks away and I wanna share them.

For example that I was in Duesseldorf in january to visit my little sister. And I have to admit that this town grew on me a lot. It's still not my kind of city and I can't imagine living there, but it sure got its moments.
Imagine sunday afternoon and a really nice Altstadt (old part of a city), the sun was shining and made the Rhein a shiny, glittering thing. And then on the pier with the glittering water in the background there was this guy and his grand piano (Flügel), he played brilliantly. A few corners into the town there were other musicians as well - all playing very well. I could have stayed and listened forever.
And ... I met sis' friends. A couple of metal guys - all leather and rocker wear, long hair and beards. And let me tell you: I've never in my life seen a group of nicer and more cuddly and lovely kids. They were open minded and talkative and so supercute. I just loved them all.
One of them actually asked me at one point what I was doing. And I was pretty embarassed with me having such a conservative job and all, but he didn't seem to mind. I then asked him what he was doing and I could not have been more suprised: he works in financing and controlling at the job center.
Yes, bad nairie for thinking in clichés so much. I really should have known better, right?

And then there was [info]zartherbess birthday. We brunched and it was really nice and reminded me that I should do that more often: meeting A. as well as go to brunch. *nods*

AND there was the fucking DEUTSCHE FILM BERLINALE PARTY - you know the one where you need an invitation and where all movie stars and business bosses go. [info]cassiopaya81 took me and it was ... overwhelming. We didn't see stars, but then again we didn't go looking - I'm pretty sure there were some of them in the crowd. But we just enjoyed the luxury and talked. And it would have been a pretty amazing evening even without the free haute cuisine and expensive whines, but that was the icing on the cake.

Oh and seems like everyone is moving to Wedding these days (the district of Berlin where we live): [info]spiritcrow came last month and [info]thefabone and [info]zartherbes are following in a few weeks.

Other than that: DRAMA is going on in our circle of friends and I tend to call it the CK-drama (no, unfortunately there is no Chris Kane involved), because there is Drama between C and K every other week. Now it's more complicated, because there is also an CS Drama (no, not Counterstrike and sure as hell no cyber sex either).
S thinks we should sacrifice something to THE DRAMA, so it just goes away. (Unfortunately it doesn't listen, if someone says: Go AWAY! So, it's time for something more drastic.)

@ [info]evil_trisha and [info]spiritcrow: *just hugs*

And yeah, it is. *nods* But it has this really dusty and old-fashioned image.

Yeah, we'll see ... unfortunately there is a pretty tough thing going on - for all three parties involved. You know sometimes it's just a little to much for me - and since I'm not directly involved I don't wanna think about how they all feel.
Life is a mess sometimes.

(Oh and I don't mind a little CK-drama - as long as there is a SC involved who fucks the pain away - it can be sooo entertaining sometimes.)

Sometimes it's even harder if you're not directly involved - when all you can do is watch... *hugs*

"as long as there is a SC involved"
*drifts off to happy place* Oh yessss... *g*

Yes, you should have known better *g*

Remember my shirt "Normale Leute machen mir Angst"? Well, they really do! It's the "normal" people you have to fear. Not the metalheads or gothics or punks or whatever... Well, you know that now :-)

Re: Yes, you should have known better *g*

LOL ... no, I think I should have made it clearer. I wasn't afraid - I know a few gothics (some of my closest friends are goth) and met one or two metallers before, for example sis' bf, so that was REALLY not what I meant. I just thought this cuddliness and sweetness was something worth mentioning.
The cliché-thing was more meant in the direction of the job-thing. Of course metal guys have normal jobs as well, but that he has this kind of conservative job took me really by surprise.

Ah, I'm a bit slow in thinking this week...
You're right about the cliché! That's why I dress "normal" when I have a meeting in our headquarter. You may say that I'm a coward for using kind of a disguise - but I want to get my arguments agreed with and not fight a unnecessary battle because of "wearing the wrong clothes". Luckily they can't see inside my head *ggg*

Re: Yes, you should have known better *g*

Yeah, that is exactly how I'm thinking about the whole situation.

I remember the words of my uni-proff. He asked one day: "What do you do if there is a punk sitting in the second row - or maybe even a goth. You really have to try hard not to judge him and let his appearance cloud your judgement and maybe give him bad marks."
And all I could think was "Oh, I guess my problem would rather be more like - man, I can't give him better marks than the rest."

Aww sounds like a bunch of lovely events. And of course, we have to meet up often *agreeing nod*
OMG I can´t wait to move. LOL!
I hope this Drama doesn´t eat too much away at you *hug*

I like Duesseldorf, too. It can be snobbish with Gucci-Grandmas flooding the Kö on weekends, but the Rhine-front is still pure love, yeah.

And yeah, Drama is never good, is it? But I hope it'll all be figured out at some point.

Ohyes, the atmosphere is great and the glittering water is so beautiful.
